The Rivertown Reindeer Race is a fundraiser of the Red Cross Rescue Racers, a program of the Coastal South Carolina Chapter, American Red Cross and the official charity training team of the Myrtle Beach Marathon. The race is sponsored by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of South Carolina.
The race is conducted in partnership with the Grand Strand Running Club. All proceeds benefit the local Red Cross chapter and its humanitarian services to the community.
The 5K route runs through downtown Conway’s historic oak tree lined streets. Runners and walkers are invited to wear their holiday attire to this fun event. The race begins and ends at the beautiful Conway Marina Park area.
Racers can park in the County’s parking lot just off 2nd Avenue between Laurel and Elm streets. Bathrooms are available at start/finish locations. Food and beverages include a water stop on the route and hot and cold foods and beverages at the finish line.
Race day registration will be available from 7:00AM - 7:45AM.
Awards are presented to the top 3 overall male and female finishers and the top three finishers in each age category. Age group awards are given in U14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-70 and 70+.
