Meeting Items
Jim Troxell. The Beach Sweep 5K, Sept. 21, NMB, replaces the traditional SOS 5K Beach Run. Beach Sweep 5K will be a GSRC produced event.
Jane Serius. First Strides®- 12-week Beginner Walking & Running Workshop for Women. Choice of 2 sessions: Wednesday evenings 6-7:15 pm beginning September 2 - November 16 or Thursday mornings 8-9:15 am beginning September 3-November 19 (rain or shine). McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach. www.firststridesNMB.com
Girls Getaway 5Ks - October 10 @ 8 am. On the beach in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Women-only 5K Walk and 5K Run. Team awards for families, teams and social groups. www.girlsgetaway5Ks.com
Terry Layton. Julie Duval & Kevin McCallum have offered to setup a new GSRC website based on XLCommunications.com web capabilities
A new website based on XLCommunications.com can be setup to allow GSRC to accept online registrations for races.
Actions Motion by Terry Layton that the GSRC website be moved to XLCommunications.com under the direction of Julie Duval and Kevin McCallum with the support of Dave Hanson. Motion seconded by Jim Troxell and carried unanimously.
Motion by Terry Layton that online registration using PayPal be incorporated into the new GSRC website. Motion seconded by Rick Lanigan and carried unanimously.
Kevin McCullum and Julie Duval accepted responsibility for getting new website online by Aug. 1.
Terry Layton will open a GSRC PayPal account.
